About Syd Blue

Syd Blue Syd had her 1st flying lesson on her 14th birthday. What a birthday present! Now she’s a commercial pilot who enjoys wrestling the wind and having a bird’s eye view of the world. She started writing novels in the back of her father’s Mooney when she was small enough to fit in the baggage compartment. Trips to grandma’s house were even more fun in a plane, especially when she could get the yoke away from her 3 brothers, all of whom are now pilots too.

Syd’s 1st love is writing – yes, even more than flying. She has produced, written, directed and edited professionally for everything from TV stations and production companies, to book publishers, websites and magazines. She has had over 40 articles published and screenplays optioned. She has supervised writing staffs around the world at magazines and news services.

She also produced an award-winning documentary, TV shows, commercials and short films. Most of the projects, she wrote and edited herself. When she ran a TV station, she also hosted the morning show for tens of thousands of viewers.
