Its not uncommon for school lunch providers to use enticing words such as "organic" or "sustainable" when describing the source of their ingredients. But those are very subjective words and in our experience most of the school caterers who lean on them when describing their brand are the least organic and sustainable of anyone.
Chicago is desperately lacking in school food programs that broadly use genuinely good ingredients.
